Now Latin is hard work...anyone who says otherwise is selling something...but with the approach and support, ANYONE can read and write Latin with confidence. Too many Latin students are subjected to incomprehensible Latin texts that require them to look up every other word and puzzle at convoluted syntax. No matter what skill lever you are at, I can craft Latin sentences and passages that will help you master targeted grammar and vocabulary with less frustration.
Just as important as reading is writing, and with my support you will also learn to compose Latin sentences using targeted grammar and vocabulary. For years I have helped students find the joy of expressing themselves in Latin, and I can help you experience the same thrill and sense of accomplishment.
I am a historian at heart and believe Latin is best learnt within its historical context, so I always enliven lessons with examples of authentic Latin and historical connections. This adds a level of depth to the Latin content and allows us to actually use Latin to learn about the Romans. If you study with me, I promise you will learn a lot...and have fun doing it!
