Hi, I’m Elsa! I graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s in psychology with concentration in child development from Southern New Hampshire University, then went on to get my master’s degree in occupational therapy from University of New England. During weekdays, I work full time with pediatric clients specializing in fine motor development and have specialized knowledge in the development of child and adolescent handwriting and literacy skills. I have experience working in classrooms as well as one on one with students to address letter recognition and formation, pencil grasp, reading comprehension, as well as other individualized skills in need of development. I find that my background in occupational therapy makes it easy for me to communicate and teach others efficiently, finding the learner’s most successful learning style.
Additionally, my experience in teaching others and knowledge in psychology makes me well versed in tutoring in psychology and child development subjects. In my undergraduate and graduate classes, I frequently found myself helping my peers in group projects as I found that the material came easily to me and I enjoyed helping others comprehend fascinating subjects such as Piaget’s stages of child development, neuroscience, and abnormal psychology. I look forward to meeting with you and sharing my knowledge!
