I am currently a graduate student in Counseling Psychology with a Creative Arts focus, maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout my academic career. My educational background spans psychology, human development, and the creative arts, and I hold professional training in cosmetology, which I have taught and practiced at a professional level for over a decade. My ability to break down complex concepts into accessible, digestible steps has been a consistent strength throughout my education and professional life.

I have tutored peers one-on-one from elementary school through college, always stepping naturally into a teaching role as someone who grasps concepts quickly and genuinely enjoys helping others do the same. I also worked as a caregiver for a child with special needs, where tutoring and learning support were central parts of my daily work. That experience deepened my ability to meet students where they are, adapt my approach to individual learning styles, and create a calm, patient environment where progress feels possible.

I enjoy working with students of all ages but have a particular affinity for younger children and neurodivergent learners. My graduate focus on counseling psychology and creative arts directly informs my tutoring approach — I believe learning happens best when it feels safe, engaging, and tailored to the individual. Whether teaching cosmetology techniques, supporting a student through a difficult concept, or helping a child build confidence through creative work, I bring patience, genuine investment, and a strengths-based perspective to every session. My background in mindfulness and holistic wellness practices also informs how I support students who may feel anxious or overwhelmed, helping them regulate and engage before diving into content.

ADHD

ADHD

I am a graduate student in Counseling Psychology with a Creative Arts focus, with a specific professional goal of working clinically with neurodivergent children once licensed. My understanding of ADHD is both academic and experiential — I have worked directly with neurodivergent children in caregiving and tutoring roles, adapting my approach to meet each student's unique needs and learning style. I draw on mindfulness-based techniques, somatic awareness, and strengths-based frameworks to help students with ADHD build focus, confidence, and self-regulation alongside their academic skills. My approach is patient, flexible, and grounded in the understanding that ADHD learners thrive with structure that feels supportive rather than rigid.
Cosmetology

Cosmetology

I am a licensed cosmetologist trained at the Aveda Institute, with over a decade of professional experience that includes owning and operating my own specialty salon focused on color, blonding, and extensions. My career has extended beyond the salon floor — I have had the opportunity to work alongside Aveda's global artistic team on professional photo shoots, bringing a high-level industry perspective to my understanding of the craft. I hold active licensure in Maine and prior licensure in Florida, and Virginia, reflecting both my longevity in the field and my familiarity with varying state board requirements and standards. Whether supporting someone preparing for their state board exam, building foundational technique, or refining advanced skills, I bring real-world professional expertise and genuine enthusiasm for the craft.
Painting

Painting

I am a practicing visual artist working primarily in oils and acrylics, with a lifelong creative practice that spans fine art, illustration, and applied design. My graduate program in Counseling Psychology has a Creative Arts focus, which has deepened my understanding of how art functions as both a technical skill and a tool for expression, communication, and emotional development. I have experience working with children in caregiving and tutoring contexts where creative arts were central to engagement and learning, and I bring a patient, encouraging approach that meets students at their current skill level. Whether working with a beginner building foundational skills or a more advanced student refining their technique, I teach art as something personal and accessible rather than intimidating.
