Hi! I'm Skyler. I am a compassionate, results-based tutor with over 10 years of experience. I would love to help you or your child develop your skills and build confidence.

I graduated with a 4.0 from Wesleyan University in Anthropology and Education. I bring both academic excellence and a proven track record of student success. Through my work as a college essay tutor with Apogee Adventures, I’ve helped students gain admission to top-tier schools like Dartmouth, Princeton, and Yale. At Wesleyan University, I served as a Teaching Assistant in the Education Department, leading a tutoring program for elementary and middle school English Language Learner (ELL) students. In my graduate program at the University of Montana, I serve as a Teaching Assistant for journalism courses, tutoring students in writing, test-taking, and news apprehension.

I specialize in one-on-one remote instruction in English, social studies, and other humanities subjects, tailoring my approach to meet each student’s unique needs. I have experience with all ages, from 5 to 60. I have also worked with all skill levels. My main goal is to build confidence, proficiency and skills while making my students comfortable. I like to create goals with my students and their parents so that we can check in on our progress throughout our time together. I will introduce the topic in a fun way, go into practice time and then leave room for any questions. I am happy to tailor my approach to any individual's needs. I am flexible, easy to reach, and compassionate. I am a soccer player, avid reader, and hiker, and I play multiple instruments in my free time. Currently pursuing my master’s in journalism, I’m taking on new clients looking for focused, high-impact academic support.
