I currently work as an Ed Tech at a public high school, where I provide one-on-one academic support to students with diverse learning needs. This role has reinforced my passion for individualized instruction and helping students build confidence through patient, supportive guidance.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Geology from Carleton College and am now pursuing a Master’s in Education with the goal of becoming a high school science teacher. Science is my favorite subject to teach because I love helping students explore, question, and better understand the world around them. Whether we’re working on earth science, biology, or chemistry, I aim to make each concept accessible and engaging.
In addition to science, I’m comfortable tutoring math, humanities, test prep, and other academic subjects. My background includes experience in outdoor education, wilderness therapy, and case management, where I supported students’ academic and personal growth in a variety of settings. These experiences taught me the importance of building strong relationships and adapting my approach to meet each learner’s unique needs.
My tutoring style is calm, thoughtful, and student-centered. I work to meet students where they are, break down complex material, and help them develop strategies for long-term success. Outside of education, I enjoy hiking, cooking, and baking—especially when I get to share the results with friends and family.
