Hello!
My name is Alexandra and I am an ESL Online Teacher. I graduated from the University of Maine and received my bachelors in Communication, as well as a double minor in English and Peace & Reconciliation studies. While attending the university, I volunteered every Friday at my local YMCA teaching English literary skills to children.
Currently, I teach children in Beijing, China between the ages of 4-12 English online. Our lessons focus on basic English, vocabulary, sentence structure, reading, pronunciation, and grammar skills. Similarly, I also teach adults in Korea between the ages of 22-70 basic English, business English, advanced English, travel English and conversational English online. During each class, there maintains a strong focus on pronunciation, grammar and reading skills!
When I am not teaching English I enjoy yoga, rock-climbing, hiking, writing poetry, exercising, reading and writing!
Currently I am hoping to fill my weekday afternoons between the times of 11:00AM-4:00PM with a tutoring position near Orono, ME. My hope is that one day soon I can take my teaching experiences from online to in-person, and go abroad!
I believe every student has the potential to learn new knowledge and improve their skill set. However, every student learns differently, so I ensure my lessons and communication will be shaped for every students unique learning and personality type!
I am available for online and in-person tutoring between the hours of 11am-4pm on weekdays!
