My name is Paul. I'm a bit of a word-smith. My skills and my concentration are with conveying ideas attractively and digestibly. I enjoy helping others internalize data and concepts and have spent a great deal of my time learning how to communicate intellectual ideas effectively. In this vein I am very patient and steadfast in trying to analyze the learning needs of one with whom I have established dialogue.
I have attended School at two Colleges: Southern Maine Community College, where I studied pre-English. I then transferred to Saint Joseph's of Maine where I made my major Theology. My minor was Secondary Education, so I know how troublesome the modern educational system can be and why students might need extra help to get by.

As such, I would make a good proofreader and would be efficient and capable in the task of helping potential students to expand upon their natural vocabulary. My interests in English and her application extend to literature, and in methods of reading. For this reason I would make a good tutor for literature assignments as I am apt at critical thinking and palpating underlying messages with a given text.
I also have experience with History, specifically European and Religious history. I am further very knowledgeable in the realm of Theology and religious study. Thus, I would make a sound tutor for a student engaged in, say, comparative religion. Social studies is another facet of learning with which I am acquainted. My name is Paul. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
