Music History

Music History

My background in music studies and music history stands primarily at the intersection of 19th-century German nationalism and its influence of Romantic-period composition in Germanic regions of Europe. However, background in history, music, and music history readies me to help in a range of periods and in a range of theoretical contexts, from Renaissance madrigals in Italy and England, to early twentieth-century mixtures of Romantic/modern classical music in, during, and after the Bolshevik Revolution.
