I am a music teacher with over ten years of experience, specializing in piano performance, music theory, composing, improvisation, and music production with Ableton Live. I hold a degree from Berklee College of Music. I have won awards for my original music, performed at selective venues along the East coast, and was voted the national Teacher of the Month at Music & Arts in April 2026. I offer online and in-person lessons around the Frederick, MD area. I teach ages 7 and up, from beginner to advanced levels of experience.

My teaching style is creative, curious, and passionate. I emphasize understanding theory and performance principles deeply rather than going through practice sessions mechanically. I aim to provide a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where students can go at their own pace and pursue whatever interests them the most. My lessons combine core concepts and skills with a deeply personalized approach. For beginners who prefer a more structured approach, I will sometimes guide students through method books to help get them started. Other students prefer to pick out pieces to learn or work on writing their own pieces. In our first lesson, we can discuss how to tailor lessons uniquely to your experience level, interests, and goals.

Learning music is a wonderful vehicle for learning about life, skill mastery, and creativity. Through music lessons, I help students to find their authentic voice, overcome challenges, and connect with their intrinsic motivation, curiosity, and passion.
