Bio

I have a wealth of experience in tutoring and teaching over the last 7 years, starting with helping my fellow college students with the math and physics courses. As a graduate teaching assistant I have experience teaching a course as the instructor on record, and currently teach college algebra to Title I high school students through a partnership with the National Education Opportunity Network (NEON). I have also worked as a math instructor at a local math tutoring program for K-12 students. So combined I have experience tutoring K-12 as well as college level mathematics and physics.

Perhaps the most important aspect of my tutoring style that students have appreciated, is my drive to teach the material that students need to know. Thanks to my experience and with the aid of course syllabi and objectives, I can ensure students are learning the critical information they need, and I also strive to keep my students ahead of their courses. I also find it important to motivate topics by showing how it can be used in the real world.

My goal as an instructor is to help students by teaching them in a clearer manner, and directly working with them in learning to apply the concepts learned. Feel free to contact me to learn more and schedule lessons either in-person or remotely!

I have experience tutoring the entire standard college Calculus sequence, from Single-Variable Calculus to Multi-Variable Calculus. I have also tutored for a standard one semester college course in Ordinary Differential Equations and Linear Algebra. I am also capable of teaching anything in K-12 Math. I have also taken the following mathematics courses at the college level: College Algebra and Trigonometry, Calculus I II and III, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Modeling, Linear Optimization,Statistics,Real Analysis I and II, Abstract Algebra I and II, Combinatorics, Dynamical Systems I and II, Partial Differential Equations I and II, and Functional Analysis I and II.

I have completed in B.S. in Mathematics, during which I completed a course in Discrete Mathematics and Set Theory. I have also taken many upper division mathematics courses that were proof-based, and made routine usage of logic. Lastly, I have conducted research and helped produce a manuscript for publication in the Journal of Nonlinear Differential Equations and Applications.
