I am a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. Before college, I completed North Point High School's Biotechnology CTE program, which gave me an early, in-depth foundation in laboratory science and scientific reasoning well beyond a typical high school curriculum. I've spent years building strong, detailed knowledge across biology, chemistry, and general science, along with the math and technical writing skills required in coursework at the college level. This background allows me to tutor basic math, writing and grammar, and science.

I am tutoring elementary and middle school students, with an emphasis on making foundational concepts in math, grammar, and science clear and approachable at an age appropriate level, and I am also open to working with high school students who need support in these same areas. While I am early in my one-on-one tutoring career, I bring a patient, encouraging teaching style that comes directly from my science training: I am used to breaking complicated material down into smaller, logical steps and identifying exactly where a misunderstanding starts before correcting it, rather than simply repeating an explanation until it happens to make sense. This approach is especially useful for younger students who need concepts connected to concrete, relatable examples rather than abstract rules.

What sets me apart is my strong academic science background and my patience in how I teach. My goal in every session is to help students build both the skills and the confidence they need to work through math, writing, and science material independently.
