I currently have 14 years of teaching experience at various levels; however, my certification area is in Elementary Education.
It is my belief that having good Reading skills is fundamental to be successful in every subject and life. Part of my approach to developing those skills is expanding vocabulary, deductive reasoning skills and real -world application. Students that I tutor will engage in lesson fundamentals that will make them successful at every grade level with the critical thinking skills that allow them to self-advocate and take ownership of their learning.
I have experience teaching students on-line, in group and one-on-one settings. I prefer on-line and group settings because rich conversations among other students is also a part of lifelong learning. Elementary Education is where I have obtained most of my teaching experience
