Hi, I'm Rachell! My pronouns are she/her and I am a higher education professional at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communication with Public Relations Emphasis from Northern Arizona University (2022). Most recently, I earned my Master of Education in Higher Education in Student Affairs from Salem State University (2024).

I have 5+ years of working with college students in various departments, including First Year Experience, Success Coaching, Residence Life, LGBTQ+ Student Services, and Civic Engagement. I have 5+ years of essay editing and college tutoring experience as well! I have 1 year of graduate admissions experience and am happy to support individuals applying for graduate and doctoral programs as well. My tutoring approach stems from my years of experience as a Success Coach for undergraduate students. I understand that students' realities and understandings of themselves continuously evolve. My student-centered tutoring approach encourages students to reflect on their goals before, during, and after college and use their "why" to guide our work together. I also aim to leverage each student's lived experiences and identities to achieve their dreams. Outside of college application support, I also have 3 years of experience with tutoring for English, Writing, Literature, Communications, and Women & Gender Studies courses.

I offer the following services to offer personalized support during the college application process:
-College List Generation
-Major/Minor Selection
-Personalized Timelines & To-Do Lists
-Personal Statement & Essay Support
-Resume Building & Editing
-Guidance on Letters of Recommendation
-Interview Preparation & Mock Interviews
-Success Coaching for Transitioning to College

I am extremely passionate about supporting students and being a safe, trusted person who can help get them where they want to go. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a session!

I have 5+ years of experience working with college students in various departments, including First Year Experience, Success Coaching, Residence Life, LGBTQ+ Student Services, and Civic Engagement.
