I am a certified Early Childhood & Special Education teacher with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. I am currently in graduate school pursuing a Master's in Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology. My educational background has prepared me to work with both typically developing children and those with special needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia.
I have taught 2nd grade for 5 years and I also tutor children ages 3-10 in Early Literacy and Mathematical Foundations. I use a multisensory, hands-on approach that allows children to connect concepts and become fully immersed in their learning. My patient, relaxed style helps children feel at-ease and reduces the pressure and anxiety that school can sometimes cause. I tailor each of my lessons to the specific child I am working with, incorporating their interests and abilities as much as possible.
