I am an RN with an MSN in Nursing education and experience in long-term care and psychiatric nursing. I worked at in Virginia at Western State Hospital and also at Central State Hospital as a travel nurse. I have been a nursing supervisor in a long-term care facility that spanned from independent living to full health care. I have also spent some time in Home Health nursing.
I taught Nursing fundamentals including Physical Assessment, Safety, Body Mechanics, Nursing Process, Documentation, Communication, and Geriatrics; Mental health; Musculoskeletal; Cardiac, Lymphatic & Hematological; Anatomy & Physiology; Nursing math review; and Diabetes and wound care in both the classroom and in the laboratory using lecture as well as high-fidelity simulation.
