About Liz

I have an earned Bachelor's degree in political science. Additionally, I have developed an undergraduate course (and taught it) on civil liberties in everyday life focused on the political process applied to individuals. Also, I have over 6 years experience as an election judge which has given me more of an insider perspective to the election process.

Since 1999, I've taught various general education courses in universities around the country in online and face-to-face formats. Courses I've taught include: 1) sociology; 2) criminal justice; 3) English composition; 4) Ethics/Business Ethics; 5) introduction to philosophy; 6) women's studies; 7) civil liberties in everyday life; 8) deviance; 9) introduction to business; 10) public administration; and 11) ESL for the workplace.

I enjoy teaching/tutoring & helping with the light bulb moment - when a student 'gets' it! Helping students develop their critical thinking skills and develop additional interest on the subject is a bonus.

Prior experience teaching/tutoring ESL/English composition. I'm able to quickly build rapport with students which puts them at ease & decreases the learning time for acquiring English speaking/reading skills.

My proficiency & longevity using Word make me a great Microsoft Word tutor. I have 20+ years in administrative experience which has required me to use various software applications.

I'm available to tutor you face-to-face or online and help you improve your English skills, your ESL skills and with grasping Word. Let's talk so you can get where you want to be!
