Hi, I'm Lance, and I am a current college student. You may be looking for a tutor with a professional degree, but I would argue one of the most important aspects of tutoring is connectivity. Hi, I'm Lance, and I am a current college student. You may be looking for a tutor with a professional degree, but I would argue one of the most important aspects of tutoring is connectivity. A few years ago, I was in your position: a middle school or high school student who either wanted enrichment or clarification on the material. I am currently a Biology and Society major at Cornell University on a pre-med track. I have taken many STEM courses throughout high school and college, forming a strong foundation in mathematics, biology, chemistry, and other subjects. In terms of qualifications, I scored an 800 on the SAT Math Section and achieved an "A" in college Calculus II. I scored well in both biology and chemistry, having done well in these classes at college.
When it comes to your student, I will go to any length to see them succeed. Part of the reason I love tutoring stems from seeing the pure joy of learning. There's nothing better than finally seeing a concept click for a student––that "aha" moment. I frequently craft worksheets for my students if we are not discussing homework/classwork material. I tailor these worksheets to my students' needs––typically with problem types that focus on their weaker areas.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I hope to have the opportunity to work with your student.
Best,
Lance
