Hello, my name is Sia and I am a motivated student with a 4.0 GPA who has completed 14 AP courses across subjects including mathematics, science, English, and computer science. I am also involved in multiple honor societies (technical, science, English, math, French) and have consistently demonstrated strong academic performance in rigorous coursework. My academic background allows me to confidently tutor students in a variety of middle school and high school subjects, especially STEM and college preparatory content (i.e. SAT and AP).
In addition to my coursework, I have experience tutoring students both informally and through school related settings. I have worked one on one with classmates and younger students to help them strengthen foundational concepts, improve study habits, and prepare for quizzes, tests, and AP exams. I focus on adapting explanations to each student’s learning style, breaking down difficult concepts into smaller steps, and encouraging students to build confidence alongside test taking skills.
Most of my experience has been with middle school and high school students in one on one and small group settings over the past 4 years. I aim to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in the learning process.
In addition to school courses, I can provide support throughout the college application process. As a graduated high school senior with admission to top STEM universities including Georgia Institute of Technology, Cornell University, and Washington University in St. Louis, I can aid students in navigating through the components of a college application such as the personal statement, supplementals, activity lists, and more. Feel free to contact me to schedule a lesson or if you have any questions!
