I am UJ. After completing my Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Master's in Business Administration (M.B.A.) with specialization in Marketing and Technology, I embarked on an international career in Asia, Europe and United States. I am UJ. After completing my Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Master's in Business Administration (M.B.A.) with specialization in Marketing and Technology, I embarked on an international career in Asia, Europe and United States. During this time I worked with Fortune 500 companies and often conducted training in areas like marketing, customer relationship management (CRM), business analysis and project management. I learned to incorporate business training and development (T&D) best-practices, leading Learning Management Systems (LMS) and interactive e-learning curriculum in my training plans, mixing classroom-training and customized online course content in an engaging and effective way.

My own experience of preparing and successfully acquiring industry certifications like Project Management Professional (P.M.P) and Six Sigma Green Belt (S.S.G.B.) has taught me innovative models of training and learning. After a decade of corporate work, I went back to school and joined a Master's program in Digital Media (M.A.) at the University of California, Santa Cruz and served as a Teaching Assistant (T.A.) for over two years. As I learned the subjects, I thoroughly enjoyed my time sharing what I had learned, teaching and mentoring undergraduates - a diverse range of subjects related to interactive media, art, documentaries and film. The positive feedback from my students (usually a class of 20) ensured that I was continuously entrusted with teaching assignments throughout the program and even beyond. This is when I developed a passion for teaching. I completed my Master's with an 'Award for Excellence' for my work portfolio and teaching performance followed.

I now dedicate a regular amount of my time tutoring students. Apart from general subjects related to management, arts or science, I help students prepare for business related industry certifications, especially Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI)

I offer Career Coaching and Development with a focus on enabling students and professionals to achieve their goals. I work on a collaborative model to - A. Structure academic and career paths and goals; C: Measure progress metrics and conduct course corrections; D: Achieve your goals. I am a certified Career Development and Life Coach. After my MBA, I gathered a decade of experience performing various roles for Fortune 500 global organizations like IBM and Cognizant Technology Solutions in areas that include Marketing, Branding, Advertising, Market Strategy, Digital Media, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Marketing/Brand Communications (MarCom), Project Management, Business Analysis etc - with ongoing course corrections of my goals as I went along. During this time, I lived and worked in Asia (Japan, HongKong, India), Europe (Netherlands, BeNeLux) and United States (NYC, California, DC), always working in a diverse and multi-cultural environment. Thereafter, I gathered direct experience of creating a skills portfolio in a new area and earning a fellowship to complete my MA from University of California. I worked as a Teaching Assistant throughout the program and then completed two prestigious international post-doc fellowships. I also managed to gather substantial experience in the nonprofit arena including serving as the board member for a three year term with United Nations Association with a strong focus on the Strategic Developmental Goals (SDG). My creative social impact projects include completing award-winning documentary films and multi-media projects. As a part of my MA from the Film and Digital Media department of University of California, I have been trained on various aspects of filmmaking. Our program focused on: Film studies - Film theory, history, criticism, forms, archives); Praxis – Concept, script-writing, story-boarding, proposal and grant writing, production, directing, cinematography, editing, lighting, sound recording and design, exhibition (film festivals, TV, broadcast media, video-on-demand), promotion; Digital – Interactive media, digital shorts, digital exhibitions etc. During the two-year tenure of the program, I was entrusted to assist in teaching undergraduates a variety of courses ranging from production, moving image archive, silent cinema, documentary filmmaking, visual arts etc. My films so far have shown in international film festivals and television channels and won several film awards. I enjoy mentoring upcoming filmmakers and helping them with what I have learned academically and through my own film-making experiences, at the same time learning from them as well.
