Hello! I recieved my Bachelors in Science in Chemistry from UNC Chapel Hill in 2018, and my PhD from the MIT department of Biology in early 2025. I have taken courses in fields including chemistry, biochemistry, biology, and mathematics. I have also taken several courses devoted to pedagogy, and have 4 years of experience in teaching. Biochemistry

I recently obtained my PhD in biochemistry from the MIT department of biology, where my thesis research was in protein biochemistry. I have taken 4 undergraduate and 4 graduate courses in this topic, and have 4 publications in peer-reviewed journals. I also have experience teaching biochemistry from undergraduate and graduate teaching experiences.

I have taken many different courses in biology, including introductory biology, cellular biology, developmental biology, genetics, biochemistry, and A&P (anatomy and physiology). I received A's in all courses, except for genetics, where I got a B+. I have also taken several courses in teaching, and have several years if experience tutoring/teaching.
Calculus

Calculus

I have taken many courses where calculus has been used. My "formal" training in calculus first started in high school when I took AP Calculus AB/BC. Since I excelled, earning a five on the AP exam, I took calculus 3 (multivariable calculus) in my first semester of college. I loved the topic, and through hard work, I was able to get an A in the class. I then went on to take differential equations, which makes copious use of differential and integral calculus. Then, I also took a class on mathematical and transforms, which also made use of derivative and integral calculus to compute them. I have also taken several semesters of pedagogy courses, where I learned extensively about good techniques for teaching students. Please contact me if you have any questions on my background!
Chemistry

Chemistry

I have extensive experience in performing and designing research projects. During my undergraduate studies, I worked in a research lab at UNC Chapel Hill for the last three years doing work on protein biochemistry. Through my work there, I was a part of four publications and have attended numerous conferences. I am now a graduate student in the MIT department of biology, where through my thesis research, I apply basic chemical principles to understand protein biochemistry.
