ACT Math

ACT Math

I have taken a few private ACT and SAT preparatory courses in high school that truly assisted in my overall performance on the ACT. I scored the highest in my ACT math subject and was also allowed to advance into a higher level math course at my University because of my scores. I believe that with consistency and practice in problem-solving skills, anyone can succeed in achieving an excellent ACT Math score!
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I began learning Algebra 1 in an advanced curriculum in high school and through private tutoring over my childhood summers. Algebra 1 is a fundamental math course that is essential in preparing for SAT/ACT examinations and are commonly standard requirement courses at most Universities. It is important to develop a strong foundation in this subject before advancing into other challenging mathematics.
Anatomy

Anatomy

Eager to advance in my studies, I enrolled in the accelerated summer course for Anatomy at my University. The accelerated course comprised of weekly examinations and intensive studying where 3-4 months of designed semester work was completed in 1 month. My Physiology course followed there afterwards. Both Anatomy & Physiology have been pre-requisites for my ultimate career goal of becoming a Doctorate of Pharmacy.
Biology

Biology

Since high school, I have completed Advance Placement (AP) biology courses, AP examinations as well as introductory courses in college. Biology requires a great deal of organization, comprehension and application of the material to illustrate a true understanding of the science. Being a fundamental science, Biology will require memorization of vocabulary terms and processes that pave the way for further rigorous science courses.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I am currently in my fifth year of college in a six-year Pharmacy School Program. I am working towards earning my Doctorate in Pharmacy and have currently earned a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Studies. My tutoring sessions primarily focus on science and (some) math subjects. This includes Anatomy, Physiology, Biology, Chemistry and subjects aimed more towards healthcare (Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapeutics and Human Diseases, Pharmaceutics). I believe in pushing my students to their utmost best. I encourage them to become engaged during sessions and to become a proactive learner and individual overall.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

As a current Pharmacy Student, my curriculum requires six college semesters of Pharmacology and I am currently enrolled in my fifth semester. Pharmacology requires a lot of studying in terms of understanding the mechanism of drugs, indications, side effects and dosing. What better way to learn about medicine than to ask a Pharmacy student!
Physiology

Physiology

Having attended the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia for my undergraduate degree, Physiology was a pre-requisite course for all Pharmacy majors. I have worked and studied with both non-pharmacy and pharmacy students for this course before. It is important to recognize that Physiology requires a clear understanding of Anatomy before progressing into more challenging concepts of human body function. It is the fundamental science for understanding how medicine, environment and nutrition affect our daily lives.
