Hello Parents and Families,

My name is Jenelle, and I am a certified elementary school teacher and school administrator with extensive experience in early childhood education, specializing in kindergarten and first grade. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and a wide range of learning abilities, including general education, English Language Learners, Talented and Gifted students, and students with special education needs, including ADHD and autism. I am passionate about creating a positive, supportive learning environment where every child feels valued, encouraged, and capable of success.

I provide personalized tutoring in foundational reading and math skills tailored to each student's individual strengths and learning needs. In reading, I focus on developing phonics, sight word recognition, decoding strategies, fluency, and reading comprehension. In math, I support students in strengthening number sense, counting, addition, subtraction, place value, and problem-solving skills. My lessons incorporate engaging activities, visual supports, manipulatives, and differentiated instructional strategies to make learning meaningful, interactive, and enjoyable. I strive to help students not only understand challenging concepts but also develop the confidence to apply their skills independently.

I firmly believe that every child has the ability to learn, grow, and achieve success when given the appropriate support, encouragement, and opportunities. My teaching philosophy centers on building strong relationships, fostering confidence, and meeting students where they are academically. My goal is to partner with families to help children overcome learning challenges, strengthen foundational skills, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
