I am licensed to teach in the District of Columbia and earned my Masters in Secondary Teaching from Relay GSE and my Montessori Secondary Credential (AMS) from CMSTEP; I also graduated summa cum laude from Wheaton College, IL with a double major in English and Philosophy, and I have extensive experience in student publications, including newspapers and literary magazines, as well as several years of experience directing the campus Writing Center.
My approach to tutoring is informed by my decade in the classroom with a wide range of learners and needs, as well as by the student-centered, inquiry-based principles of Montessori pedagogy. I am available for both online tutoring at a range of hours and in-person tutoring within the DMV area.
