I am an attorney with a strong background in English, writing, research, government, and law. I earned my J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and my bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics and Communication from the University of Maryland.
For two years, I volunteered with the Washington English Center, where I taught English literacy, grammar, writing, and verbal communication to adults ranging from 18 to 60 years old. I have experience with both one-on-one tutoring and group instruction. I have also helped students improve their English, prepare for interviews, and become more confident in their writing and speaking.
For the past year, I have also led a group Bible study, including online sessions. I enjoy breaking down difficult material, having thoughtful discussions, and helping people feel more confident asking questions. My tutoring style is patient, conversational, and encouraging. I like meeting students where they are and helping them build skills they can use on their own.
