Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile. My name is William, and I recently graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout my time at UF, I completed extensive coursework in mathematics, physics, and engineering, including Calculus I-III, Differential Equations, Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Control Systems. These courses required a strong understanding of analytical problem solving and mathematical reasoning, which are skills I now enjoy helping other students develop.
In addition to my academic background, I have experience working with students at the middle school level in one-on-one tutoring settings. Through this experience, I learned that every student learns differently, and I strive to adapt my teaching approach to meet each student's individual needs. Rather than simply showing students how to arrive at an answer, I focus on helping them understand the underlying concepts so they can solve similar problems independently and build confidence in their abilities.
As a recent graduate, I can offer students a relatable perspective because I have recently completed many of the same courses they may be taking now. I understand the challenges that come with difficult math, science, and engineering classes, and I enjoy helping students overcome those challenges through patience, clear explanations, and structured problem-solving strategies.
