Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile. My name is William, and I recently graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout my time at UF, I completed extensive coursework in mathematics, physics, and engineering, including Calculus I-III, Differential Equations, Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Control Systems. These courses required a strong understanding of analytical problem solving and mathematical reasoning, which are skills I now enjoy helping other students develop.

In addition to my academic background, I have experience working with students at the middle school level in one-on-one tutoring settings. Through this experience, I learned that every student learns differently, and I strive to adapt my teaching approach to meet each student's individual needs. Rather than simply showing students how to arrive at an answer, I focus on helping them understand the underlying concepts so they can solve similar problems independently and build confidence in their abilities.

As a recent graduate, I can offer students a relatable perspective because I have recently completed many of the same courses they may be taking now. I understand the challenges that come with difficult math, science, and engineering classes, and I enjoy helping students overcome those challenges through patience, clear explanations, and structured problem-solving strategies. Whether a student needs help preparing for an exam, completing homework assignments, or strengthening their overall understanding of a subject, my goal is to create a supportive learning environment that encourages both academic success and long-term confidence.

I recently graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, where calculus served as a foundation for nearly every technical course I completed. My academic experience includes Calculus I, II, and III, differential equations, and numerous engineering courses that required extensive use of derivatives, integrals, optimization methods, and multivariable calculus. Beyond learning the material, I regularly applied calculus concepts to solve engineering problems involving motion, heat transfer, fluid flow, control systems, and mathematical modeling. This experience allows me to help students understand not only how to solve problems but also why the underlying concepts work. I have previous experience tutoring students in mathematics and enjoy breaking complex topics into clear, manageable steps. As a recent graduate, I understand the challenges students face and focus on building both conceptual understanding and confidence through guided problem solving and practical examples.
