Over the past several years, I've worked with a diverse range of students, teaching everything from elementary math/science to AP courses and test prep. I scored a perfect 800 on the math section of my 1560 SAT, a perfect 36 on the Pre-ACT, and was named a National Merit Finalist. On my AP exams, I earned scores of 5 on Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Physics 2, Physics C: Mechanics, and Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism. This firsthand testing experience gives me the unique ability to understand all of the tips/tricks that allow my students to score 5s on their exams and break down high-level STEM concepts into digestible, manageable pieces for learners at any level. Test prep is another one of my specialties, and I have consistently helped students boost their SAT scores by 100+ points across both the math and English sections.

Because I've worked with students from elementary to high school, I know that different individuals learn very differently. Darren has been assisting me with the DSAT Math and English sections by using slideshows, sample questions, and strategies to improve them. Darren offers plenty of valuable and effective advice, which makes hard questions easy to comprehend and solve. Darren's best trait is patience. He is always willing to spend extra time ensuring that I understand not only the answer, but why it's an answer. It makes learning quicker and more confident for me. Darren is very tolerant with me when I do not know answers or cannot get a problem at first glance. he will explain the concept in a different manner so that you are able to understand it better.

My son has geometry classes with Darren . He is extremely intelligent and knows all the material very well but can explain it at the level needed. My son says he is patient , very well prepared and focused and he learns a lot from him . Darren is also very personable and a wonderful teacher . Very fortunate to have found him and hope to continue for harder math classes going forward as he can teach much higher grade math too .
