Throughout my undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where I graduated in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and a 3.42 GPA, I immersed myself in rigorous coursework in regression analysis, statistical learning and computing in R, data structures and algorithms, and information and database systems. Beyond the classroom, I led projects such as a pitch-level performance analysis for the Tampa Bay Rays and a computational modeling study of epithelial tissues at Bergstrahl Labs. These experiences not only deepened my mastery of quantitative methods and programming languages like Python, R and SQL but also taught me how to break down complex material into clear, accessible explanations.
From August 2024 through May 2025, I served as a content tutor for the University Athletic Association, working one on one and in small group labs with collegiate student-athletes, typically aged eighteen to twenty-two. In that role I designed individualized lesson plans and practice exercises in Spanish, linear algebra, programming fundamentals and statistics. Whether guiding morning walk-in sessions or evening workshops, I focused on identifying each student’s strengths and challenges, adapting my teaching style to meet diverse learning preferences and encouraging interactive problem solving to build confidence and independence.
My tutoring approach emphasizes active learning through scaffolded exercises, real-world examples drawn from my own research and regular formative feedback. By posing guiding questions, illustrating abstract concepts with practical applications and continuously assessing comprehension, I ensure that students grasp foundational principles and feel empowered to tackle new problems on their own. This combination of subject-matter expertise, personalized instruction and collaborative learning has consistently led to measurable improvements in both understanding and academic performance.
