My interest in Math started in Middle school, my studying paid off, Math grade was B from a very demanding teacher and school. I spent hours at home studying and practicing Math; I assisted my cousins and some classmates in Math. I credit my good foundation in Math from Elementary, Middle and High School because I studied Math a great deal in those years and because my teacher and parents demanded a lot from me. It is the reason I focused in Math on my Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Maryland University College Park, my GPA is 3.0. In college, I would also assist friends in Math. After I graduated from college, I worked as Research Analyst and won the award for best performance at work and because I scored highest on examinations at work. To excel at work, I have always applied Math at it. Finally, I was offered a job teaching Math at Mathnasium, I always knew imparting knowledge in Math was my call because I know the subject. Moreover, I have my own teaching method which has attributed to me being more confident at learning and teaching Math. Albeit I used Mathnasium teaching method at Mathnasium, I also used my own teaching technique which is a method of association.
At Mathnasium, the age range I taught was 14 years old through 18 years old, online and in-person. I was one of their best tutors because of my knowledge in Math and because students excelled under my guardianship. A student increased his Math grade by doing better on homework and exams, other student was able to do SAT prep work correct, a disoriented student at my first encounter learned Math, etc. The owner of Mathnasium did not want to see me go. Additionally, I tailor tutoring to each student's need and ability. I use scaffolding method, I show a student how to use new information, guide them as they use it, and finally has them use it independently. The goal is for a student to work independently. I have been teaching Math for about 1.2 years. My Math knowledge and teaching method have helped many students.
