Hi, I’m Jonathan.
I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from George Washington University. Afterward, I worked at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), specifically the National Cancer Institute (NCI), researching cancer development pathways involving the p53 gene. After two years at NCI, I pursued my Master’s degree in Cancer Biology at George Washington University, focusing on bladder cancer pathways. My research was conducted at Children’s National Hospital, and I graduated in 2023 with a Master of Science in Cancer Biology.
During high school and college summers, I tutored underprivileged elementary and middle school students in math and reading. I also tutored students online, helping them understand complex biological systems and challenging mathematical concepts. I approach tutoring through the lens of meeting students where they are at then bringing them up to speed in their weaker areas.
Some relevant test scores I have achieved. I received a 5 on AP Biology and AP U.S. History. A perfect score in SAT Biology subject test, and a perfect score in SAT Math.
I’m passionate about helping students deeply understand their subjects, empowering them to improve their grades and succeed in exams. If you’re interested in scheduling a session, feel free to reach out. I’m always quick to respond and open to suggestions from both students and parents.
