Hi, I’m Ashia! I’m a dedicated tutor with a strong background in mathematics, cybersecurity, computer science, and engineering. I studied electrical engineering at Morgan State University and cybersecurity at UMBC, and I also have three years of professional experience working as a cybersecurity analyst. My teaching experience began as a robotics and coding instructor for middle and high school students, and I have since expanded into tutoring college-level students. I enjoy helping students strengthen their understanding, build confidence, and feel more comfortable tackling subjects that may initially seem challenging.

My tutoring approach is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual learning style. Rather than simply giving students answers, I break complex concepts into smaller, easier-to-understand steps and use practical, real-world examples whenever possible. I also encourage students to ask questions and work through problems with me so that they can develop the skills and confidence to solve similar problems independently. Whether you need help preparing for an exam, completing coursework, reviewing difficult concepts, or strengthening your overall understanding of a subject, I will work with you at your own pace.

I can assist with mathematics ranging from algebra and calculus to statistics and differential equations, as well as Python, Java, Linux fundamentals, firewalls, digital forensics, cybersecurity fundamentals, robotics, and coding. I have experience working with students at the middle school, high school, and college levels and can adjust my teaching style based on your age, experience, and goals.

If you’re struggling with a particular subject or simply want to strengthen your skills, I’d be happy to help. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where you feel supported, encouraged, and confident in your ability to succeed. I look forward to working with you! Let's go on this learning journey together!
