About Me
Hi! I’m Oleksandr (you can call me Alex), a math tutor with advanced quantitative training and hands-on teaching experience. I hold a PhD in Public Policy Analysis, an MS in Applied Mathematics, and an MA in Economics. I currently teach and tutor students in grades 4–9 and help learners build strong foundations in Elementary Math, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and SAT Math.
I bring both classroom and one-on-one tutoring experience, working with students of all ability levels—from those who need extra support to advanced learners looking to get ahead. I also have experience teaching adults and developing structured curricula, which helps me explain concepts clearly and adapt lessons to each student’s learning style.
My Teaching Style
I believe every student can succeed in math with the right guidance and structure. My sessions are organized, supportive, and personalized. I start by assessing a student’s current level, identifying gaps, and creating a customized learning plan.
I adjust pacing based on each student’s needs and regularly track progress so parents can see measurable improvement. Whether your child needs homework help, test prep, or deeper conceptual understanding, I aim to make math approachable and rewarding.
