Hi! I’m Idhant, a Teaching Assistant and Honors Math/CS student at Cornell University. I specialize in competitive mathematics and test preparation, including the ACT, SAT, AP STEM subjects, AMC 10/12, and AIME.
I have a 4.0 GPA at Cornell, scored 5s on 19 AP exams across a wide range of subjects, and earned a 1560 SAT and 36 ACT. In competitive mathematics, I have qualified for the AIME three times, with scores of 120 on the AMC 12 and 8 on the AIME. At Cornell, I currently serve as a Teaching Assistant for Algorithms in the Computer Science department, an upper-level course focused on problem solving, algorithms, and theoretical computer science. I have also spent over three years tutoring high school students, accumulating hundreds of hours of experience across multiple platforms. I have experience teaching a wide range of subjects, including High school mathematics through AP Calculus BC, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, AP Physics 1 and C, AP Computer Science A, Discrete Mathematics, AMC 10/12 + AIME, and the SAT/ACT.
My approach to tutoring is quite unique. There are always multiple ways to approach problems, and I believe that understanding every path to the solution is important to fully understand the tested concept. This is especially important for timed tests like the AMC and SAT, where some solutions may work, but aren't efficient. I teach my students pattern recognition and ways to optimize test taking.
