Typically, I use lesson plans in which I introduce the topic, then explicitly teach the material. Afterward, I ensure time for students to practice the material on their own. Each student is unique with their own learning needs, and therefore lesson plans are adjusted accordingly.
I have several years of experience tutoring in grades 7-12, where I specialized in mathematics and chemistry courses and worked directly with students who needed additional assistance. I assisted teachers after school, working with students in small groups for homework help, as well as exam reviews, and additional practice. For the students struggling or falling behind were given individual tutoring and support. I've additionally participated in peer tutoring at my University in Chemistry I, Chemistry II, Calc I, Calc II, Calc III, differential equations, computer science, and more.
