I have a BBA in Finance and Business Law & Corporate Governance from Villanova University, and I am a MA in American Government candidate from Georgetown University. My academic background has given me strong experience in business, finance, accounting, economics, and analytical problem-solving, which I now bring into my tutoring work. For the past three years, I have worked for the Villanova School of Business as an accounting tutor, helping college students strengthen their understanding of both introductory and advanced accounting and finance concepts. In addition to accounting and finance, I tutor economics, Excel, and other business-related subjects. I also provide SAT and ACT tutoring, as well as math support for elementary school through college students.
Alongside my academic tutoring experience, I have spent over ten years working with elementary-aged students in a Montessori setting, where I developed a patient and individualized teaching style focused on building confidence and independence. During COVID, I volunteered tutoring low-income elementary through high school students in a variety of subjects, and in high school I served as a peer tutor through both National Honor Society and National English Honor Society. These experiences taught me how to adapt lessons to students with different learning styles, academic goals, and levels of confidence.
My tutoring approach is centered on making challenging material approachable while helping students become more confident and independent learners. I have experience working with students with learning disabilities and understand the importance of flexibility, encouragement, and tailoring lessons to each student’s needs. Whether I am helping a college student prepare for a business exam, supporting a high school student with SAT preparation, or working with younger students on foundational academic skills, my goal is always to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and genuinely improving over time.
