Hi. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you to assist you in becoming the best you can be.
I have a B.A. in Applied Mathematics (including Statistics) and Economics from The Johns Hopkins University, where I graduated with a 3.96 GPA and earned admission into the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society. I also have an MBA in Finance and Public Policy from The Wharton School, where I earned admission into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society. I have taken two SAT prep courses, with transferable skills to the ACT, GMAT, GRE, ASVAB and other standardized tests. People of all ages feel comfortable with me immediately. I have 4 children of my own (ages 14-23), and keep my tutoring skills very sharp on a nightly basis! I have been extremely successful in customizing my approach to each member of that crew, so I can certainly do it for you or your child. Let's put it this way: They "rehire" me every night, so I must be doing something right!

Jeff has been very good for my son. He is very "kid-friendly" and it has been a pleasure welcoming him into our home these past 6 months or so. My son had been struggling in class and Jeff's help brought his grade in that class up from a D to a B. We will likely bring Jeff back when it's time for our son to study for the SAT, as this is a specialty of Jeff's and I know our son will love working with him again.
Jeffrey works really well with my son. My son's confidence is growing with every session. Jeff is great with getting my son to understand what he is teaching him.
After only our first tutoring session, my son was converted from an "I don't think i want or need a tutor" to "when can we do this again?". Jeff is patient, knowledgeable and has a knack for communicating with teenagers, even reluctant ones!
My son Jerome was excited after his first session with Mr. Jeffrey, he replied "he is funny and very helpful with breaking down the math problems". I met with Mr.Jeff to make sure we had the same expectation for my son sessions. Jeff is very perfessional and knowledgeable of the material .
Thank you for your help/support of my sons success .
Jeffrey was very good at helping me understand math concepts. He was easy to follow and patient. This was the first session and I plan to continue with him.
Jeffrey has been tutoring my son for about three weeks now, maybe four, and they are working well together. Jeffrey has a positive, friendly attitude and is patient with him. My son enjoys the sessions and looks forward to them. We hope to continue working with him on geometry through the rest of the school year.
Jeffrey is terrific at bolstering my daughter's confidence. SAT prep is very stressful and she always feels more confident after her lesson with Jeffrey.
Jeff is an excellent tutor and human being. He is gentle and has a great sense of humor. Our son enjoys his lessons with Jeff, and brought home a 98% score in Math in his last report card. We are very happy with Jeff and believe he has been a very positive influence for our son.
My son is being tutored by Jeffrey for SAT math prep and Algebra II help. Jeffrey has done a great job helping him master content. I highly recommend Jeffrey.
Jeff tutored our older daughter in 2011 in math and her grade improved tremendously. We just rehired him to tutor our younger daughter in Geometry. Both girls loved him. He's intelligent, sweet, funny and patient. I would HIGHLY recommend him.
I believe Jeffrey has just the approach that will keep my son engaged in his math SAT prep. Jeffrey takes a relaxed, positive, and humorous approach to SAT coaching. I am optimistic that my son's attitude toward the test and his performance will improve significantly if they keep working at it.
And a few months later, now that the SAT results are back, I'm happy to say that my son's results improved by 50 points. Well done, Jeff!
We just finished with Jeff today and he did an excellent job preparing our son for a placement test! He was very patient and got along well with our son!
Jeff is tutoring my daughter in math so that she can pass that part of the ASVAB. She has always hated math and never does very well in that subject. I was worried about finding a tutor that could keep her interest long enough to really make a difference. He is unbelievably patient and has managed to keep her interested and I really feel like she is making progress thanks to Jeff.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
