It consists of three tests: the Arithmetic Test; the Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics Test; and the Advanced Algebra and Functions Test. With my undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics from The Johns Hopkins University, in which I earned a 3.96 GPA and entrance into the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society, I am well equipped to assist you in achieving your goals for the quantitative sections of the Accuplacer. AFOQT

The Air Force Officer Qualification Test (AFOQT) is a standardized test that measures verbal and mathematical aptitude (similar to the SAT and ACT) as well as additional aptitudes relevant to specific career fields. The test is used to select applicants for Air Force ROTC as well as Officer Training School (OTS). I have tutored scores of ASVAB students for hundreds of hours, enabling them to succeed on that exam. When that experience is combined with my B.A. in Applied Mathematics (3.96 GPA), as well as my teaching experience in all of the math and verbal disciplines relevant to the AFOQT, I can certainly assist you on your way to success. The questions in the CBEST Mathematics section require you to solve mathematical problems. Most of the questions are presented as word problems. The questions are from three skill factors: (1) estimation, measurement, and statistical principles; (2) computation and problem solving; and (3) numerical and graphic relationships. Considering that I have a B.A. in Applied Mathematics (including Statistics) from The Johns Hopkins University, where I graduated with a 3.96 GPA, as well as having tutored in these exact subjects for 13 years, I certainly have the transferable skills to enable you to excel on your CBEST exam. The FTCE Math 6-12 Test consists of questions about a variety of topics relating to Algebra and Number Systems, Geometry and Trigonometry, Statistics and Probability, Functions and Calculus, and Mathematics Process and Instruction. Taking the FTCE Mathematics 6-12 exam can be a daunting task. I am here to help. I earned a 3.96 GPA for my BA In Applied Mathematics from The Johns Hopkins University, and have been tutoring students to pass their quantitative standardized tests for over 13 years. The Math 6-12 is difficult but it's not impossible to pass. As long as you have effective study tips to help you in your practice tests and study guides, there's no reason why you can't prepare very well for it. Let's do this together!

COOP/HSPT

The HSPT is the most commonly used high school entrance test given to 8th-grade students applying to private Catholic schools. The test may be taken only once. If applying to multiple schools, the same result will be submitted. If multiple tests are taken, the lower score is considered to be the final score. The HSPT is extremely challenging because it tests students in five areas of learning that measure verbal ability, quantitative ability, reading comprehension, mathematics, and components of written language It follows more of the traditional curriculum so students who are not exposed to this kind of course program may exceptionally find the test difficult and need to prepare more. The HSPT has the largest time constraint of the tests. There are approximately 300 multiple-choice questions to be answered within 2 hours and 30 minutes so students only have 30 seconds to answer each question. Verbal skills are measured through analogies and logic-based questions. Math and quantitative skills are tested through basic knowledge and skills in arithmetic, geometry, and algebra. I am ready, willing, and able to share my mastery of these subjects with YOU!

The Middle Level Exam is given to students applying for entrance to seventh or eighth grade, while the Upper Level Exam is given to students applying for entrance to ninth, tenth, eleventh, or twelfth grade. For both exams, the Quantitative Reasoning section focuses primarily on problem-solving skills and critical thinking. There are 18-21 word problems and 14-17 quantitative comparison questions for a total of 37 questions. Of the 37 questions, 32 are scored and 5 are unscored. My vast experience in ASVAB, SAT, and GRE quantitative tutoring, as well as my undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics from The Johns Hopkins University (3.96 GPA), equip me perfectly to be able to assist your student to excel on the ISEE exam. Taking the MTLE Mathematics exam can be a daunting task. Because its goal is to test your classroom readiness across the spectrum of content, it covers a lot of ground. This breadth can make it hard to know how to prepare. Luckily, if you understand how the test is organized and what it is testing, you will have no problem prepping for this test. In order to cover everything, the exam is broken into two subtests – which are then broken down into a total of five subareas Number Sense / Functions, Algebra, and Calculus / Measurement and Geometry / Data, Probability, and Discrete Math / Mathematical Processes). The Praxis Core tests measure academic skills in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. They were designed to provide comprehensive assessments that measure the skills and content knowledge of candidates entering teacher preparation programs. Praxis Subject tests measure subject-specific content knowledge, as well as general and subject-specific teaching skills, that K–12 educators need for beginning teaching. They include over 90 different tests ranging from Agriculture to World Languages. I am your one stop shop for the math sections of both types! The Standards of Learning (SOL) for Virginia Public Schools establish minimum expectations for what students should know and be able to do at the end of each grade or course in English, Mathematics, Science, History, Social Science, and other subjects. SOL tests measure the success of students in meeting the Board of Education’s expectations for learning and achievement. TEAS stands for Test of Essential Academic Skills. The exam ensures that the student has the essential academic skills to perform well in nursing school. A good score on the TEAS will help you get into a nursing program. The TEAS will test students on various subjects to see if they are academically proficient enough to succeed in an Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor Degree of Nursing (BSN) program. There are four general subjects on the test: reading, math, science, and English and language usage. I have taken and excelled in a comprehensive TEAS preparatory course.
