I am a certified middle school mathematics teacher with a completed Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with a STEM focus. I also hold a bachelor’s degree and have received formal training in student-centered instruction, mathematical reasoning, and effective teaching strategies for diverse learners. My academic background emphasizes both strong content knowledge and research-based instructional practices, particularly for middle school mathematics.

I currently teach 6th grade mathematics in a public middle school and have experience supporting students across a wide range of ability levels. My work includes teaching core math concepts such as ratios, unit rates, percentages, fractions, decimals, and multi-step problem solving aligned to state standards.

In addition to whole-class instruction, I regularly provide small-group and one-on-one academic support for students who need targeted intervention. I specialize in helping students who struggle with reading and interpreting word problems, organizing their thinking, and explaining their mathematical reasoning. My approach focuses on building conceptual understanding so students can confidently apply strategies independently.

I specialize in tutoring middle school students in grades 5–8, particularly those who feel frustrated, anxious, or behind in math. I understand that many students struggle due to gaps in foundational skills or difficulty with comprehension, so I use a patient, structured, and encouraging approach to instruction.
