Hi! I'm Maisie and I'm not your average tutor. I'm passionate about helping teens, especially neurodivergent ones, to learn essential skills (like academic achievement, resume writing, interviewing, education & career planning, networking, financial literacy and goal setting) to support their journey towards independence. As such, I offer a "one stop shop" that will help your teen to be successful in school.

I didn't arrive here overnight, I have almost 20 years of teaching high school and working with neurotypical and neurodivergent students. For the last 8 of those years, I have managed the College and Career Research and Development program and the Business Pathway at the local high school. I also was the Lead Tutor for our CARES tutoring program for two years, a program to help bridge the gap that Covid left for all of our students, but especially those with IEPs.

In addition to being a National Board Certified Teacher, I hold many teaching certifications, including; Biology, Middle School Math and Science, High School Math, Special Education, Work Based Learning, Family and Consumer Sciences, Technology Education, and Business Education. I am also a Certified Professional Life Coach and mom to two teens, one of which has ADHD. So, I'm no stranger to accommodations, challenges, and strengths of neurodivergent and neurotypical teens. I also am a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, Maryland, so I can navigate their systems with ease, including Canvas and Synergy.
