A little about me: I’m originally from a French-speaking country in Africa, where I earned a law degree and practiced as a lawyer before moving to the United States to join my husband. Together, we are raising four wonderful children. Being deeply involved in my kids' education from Pre-K through college, inspired my transition into teaching.
I recently earned my Master of Science in Teaching TESOL from Notre Dame of Maryland University, graduating summa cum laude with a 3.9 GPA. As a former English language learner myself, I understand the challenges and triumphs of learning a new language. I believe that my strong foundation in my first language played a major role in my success learning English as an adult—empowering me to advocate for myself and my family, and opening doors to new opportunities.
Now, I’m passionate about helping others do the same. No matter your age, background, or where you're starting from, you can learn English—or French! My student-centered teaching style meets learners where they are and helps guide them to where they want to be.
“Language is the road map of a culture. It tells you where its people come from and where they are going.” – Rita Mae Brown
