I am an experienced tutor and former Academic Counselor with a passion for helping students build confidence, curiosity, and independence in their learning.

I currently homeschool my kindergartener and preschooler and participate in a weekly homeschool co-op, where I plan and lead lessons for small groups of early elementary students. Through both homeschooling and group instruction, I have gained hands-on experience teaching foundational reading, writing, math, and critical thinking skills. My goal with younger students is to create engaging, individualized lessons that foster a love of learning and help children feel confident and capable.

I am comfortable working from an established curriculum, supplementing existing coursework, or creating personalized lessons based on each student’s unique needs and learning style.

Previously, I worked as an Academic Counselor supporting college students with disabilities. In this role, I helped students strengthen study skills, organization, time management, test-taking strategies, and overall academic success. I also developed a transition program to help students successfully adjust from high school to college. I have experience supporting students with ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

My tutoring approach is patient, supportive, and strengths-based. I believe in helping students become more independent learners by teaching practical strategies and building confidence in their abilities. Rather than simply giving answers, I guide students toward understanding concepts and developing skills they can use independently.
I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work, with a specialization in Mental Health. Prior to academic counseling, I worked as a mental health therapist with children, teens, and adults, which strengthened my ability to connect with students and support a wide range of learning and emotional needs.
I look forward to helping students grow academically while developing confidence and enjoyment in learning.
