I can’t recommend Nella highly enough as a Spanish tutor. She worked with my daughter to prepare for the Regents exam, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. From the very first session, she created a comfortable and engaging learning environment that made it easy for my daughter to build confidence and stay motivated. Her teaching style strikes a perfect balance between structure and flexibility—she clearly has a plan, but also adapts lessons to fit my daughter’s pace and specific areas of need. What really sets Nella apart is her ability to explain complex grammar concepts in a way that actually makes sense. Instead of memorizing rules, my daughter came away with a real understanding of the language. Nella also places a strong emphasis on conversation and practical usage, which helped my daughter feel much more prepared going into the exam. Her patience and encouragement made a huge difference—mistakes were treated as part of the learning process, which created a very positive and supportive environment. Thanks to Nella’s guidance, my daughter made noticeable progress in a short amount of time and felt confident heading into her Regents exam. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and effective Spanish tutor, Nella is an excellent choice.

Friendly, knowledgeable, and patient tutor.
Neila is a well-organized and kind tutor. She prepares helpful "cheat sheets" and practice exercises to reinforce key learning points. My french was rusty, and she helped me refresh my skills so that I can travel to Paris with ease. Nella speaks slowly during sessions and is very encouraging, creating a positive learning experience. I recommend her highly.

Enthusiastic and passionate, highly recommended
I have been Nella’s student for two months. Each week she is prepared with a lesson plan and sends follow up messages with exercises and review for the next lesson. She is patient, funny, and has great knowledge of the French language and its many intricacies. I highly recommend her for French lessons!
