Experienced Piano Teacher for Beginners Ages 4 & Up

I’m a motivated piano teacher who loves sharing the joy of music with others! In 2013, I graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Piano Minor. Hymnplaying has been my specialty since I started learning piano at the age of 12 and I have enjoyed being a church pianist for four different churches over the past 14 years. I continue to perform as a church pianist currently. Teaching piano is the way I share the joy and beauty of music through piano to my students!

My teaching experience began in 2014 and has been continuing since in my home studio. I teach ages 4-18 with more experience on the preschool ages. I strive to incorporate theory, listening skills, rhythm, memorization, and fun into my lessons! No formal training is necessary before taking lessons. Beginner students can learn all the basics of piano and how to read music. Intermediate students will learn to progress at their current level and beyond. While I mainly teach classical and gospel music, my specialty is Hymnplaying for those who are interested in learning that skill.

Seeing a student succeed is the greatest joy in teaching music! Whether it’s a small improvement between a week-to-week lesson or a completed goal that the student has been striving for for months, any progress is a joy to both student and teacher. I seek to set realistic goals according to each individual’s learning pace. Encouragement goes a long way to a child’s heart whether it is a weekly reward through practice or long term reward through a recital with other students celebrating their successes.
