I have participated in several EMR/EHR projects as a Project Manager/Architect. During those implementations, I was responsible for the planning, vendor management, deployment and commissioning of automation devices. My strategic goal was to deploy a solution the delivered benefits in the supply chain management of medications, improved patient safety through the reduction of medication incidents and improved the governance and audit of medications.
As a project manager, I have led implementations from planning and design phase through implementation, optimization, and support for Full Suite Clinical, CPOE, Medication reconciliation, and pharmacy optimization projects which have also included bar-coded medication administration, and Pharmacy Automation at various client sites.
I worked for some time as a pharmacist and IT consultant. While serving in both roles I have had the opportunity to acquire a good teaching base. I possess the capability to design and implement prudent curriculum and instructional methodologies professionally. Since I have worked in the healthcare industry that have served a diverse group of people as their patients, I developed a demonstrated ability to work with the audience of different socio-economic backgrounds which would make it easy for me to manage classroom behavior problems. My facilitation skills are also above par as I believe in making a positive difference and positively affect change.
I have worked on healthcare electronic health record databases for many years. I am certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.
