I am an instructional technologist and life-long learner with over 20 years of combined information technology and instructional technology experience. I work closely with faculty, staff, and students in higher education to achieve best practice infusion between digital tools and the classroom environment.
I earned my Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology and Design from Towson State University in 2015. Before becoming an instructional technology specialist, I worked in the Information Technology field, providing support in helpdesk and network functions.
My instructional and information technology background has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of how technology works and is used to achieve educational goals. I can effectively utilize many e-learning tools and technologies to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
I host monthly hour-long Tech Tip Tuesday sessions, which provide not only helpful tips and tricks to help faculty and staff learn how to use various technologies in the classroom, but I focus some of my topics on the Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications that include, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
I've worked with Microsoft Office since 1998 and gained considerable experience in basic and advanced skills for creating documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
