I majored Physics in my undergraduate and graduate study (U of Maryland,College Park). However, I got my Ph.D. in Biophysics (Johns Hopkins University). Therefore, I have a very strong background to teach math and Physics. I taught Mathematical Physics at college as an instructor.
I have many experiences in teaching Math and Science from middle school students to college/graduate school students. I am very patient and know how to teach different levels of students. Dr. Boyoung's help has been immeasurable to my daughter. Since she has been receiving tutoring from him, her understanding of math concepts has vastly improved and she feels more comfortable and confident in math class. He is very patient with my daughter and she thinks he is very funny!! He is currently prepping her for the SAT and I have no doubt that she will do well with his guidance and preparation. I'm looking forward to great things this school year.
He taught me trig and AP calc. He always had packets that I needed during the class. Very organized and knowledgeable. I felt a big difference after 4 classes.
Dr. Boyoung is an educator that brings unmatched skill sets to the realm of teaching. My son started off 6th grade struggling with algebra and the related math curriculum. Dr. Boyoung set him on a course of confidence and success immediately, actually teaching the rational to the math components, not just sticking a ditto in his face as many classroom teachers are resorting to. He is amazing and a true gift to education. We are so happy have his service. Our son went from a C student in the 1st marking period to a B, then finalizing the year with a A. We will definitely stick with Dr. Boyoung.
Dr. C. is excellent and patient with his students. I am happy my son is taking tutoring once a week. His grades are high and he is explaining more in detail about how to correct his mistakes.
Dr. C. is a great teacher. I received a B on my report card this semester. He is the best! I was grateful for having Dr. C. as my instructor. He genuinely cares and took the time to make sure that I was prepared and ready for school.
Thank you Dr. C.
Dr. C. was a perfect match for my daughter. He helped her throughout her senior year preCalc course. They were they were very productive during the sessions. It was difficult for me to see the effect until this year when our daughter started texting encouraging words from her first year of college. I have pasted a few of them below.
"Feeling accomplished today. Got A 100% on my calc problem set and people were asking me for help in recitation."
"In other news, I just did physics with calculus! I feel invincible!"
I thank Dr. C. for helping my daughter to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence she needed to take her understanding of Calculus to the next level.
We highly recommend this tutor!
Dr. C. helped my daughters with Calc II. He came very well prepared. He had checked the text and chapters they were covering and brought lots of problems and material to support their problem areas. He was very patient and helpful.
Dr. C. has been my calculus tutor for the past month, and so far, my experience with him is invaluable. I can assure that the knowledge I have gained from him through proofs and multiple practice problems profoundly enhanced my understanding of calculus. On his part, Dr. C. comes prepared with necessary concepts and problems that he believes will be taught and emphasized in class. Not only does he know the material well, but he also reveals little tips and tricks to solving problems, especially difficult ones that can appear on tests or quizzes. You won't regret taking lessons with him, I guarantee.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Now I have an interest to teach more College students than high school student. Since I majored theoretical physics in my graduate school (MS) and Biophysics in my PhD, I can teach differential equation. I have an experience in teaching Mathematical Physics for junior and senior college student.
Recently I taught mostly AP, BC Calculus for high school student and Calculus for College student.
I am very good in teaching differential equation.
