Hello! My name is Chantiel, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you as your tutor. With over 15 years of teaching experience and a deep passion for education, I bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to each student I work with.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a specialization in Biochemistry from The University of Virginia, as well as a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Over the years, I have taught a wide range of subjects including science, math, reading, and study skills to students in grades 6 through 12. I have also had the privilege of tutoring students from elementary school to adult learners in subjects such as SAT math, GED preparation, and college entrance exams. Additionally, I’ve trained high school students to become community health workers and mentored them throughout the college application process.

As a new tutor on Wyzant, I am eager to help students succeed and reach their academic goals. My teaching philosophy is centered around creating an inclusive and supportive environment where each student feels valued and encouraged to take risks. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed and it’s my role to tailor my teaching approach to their individual needs. I am committed to building strong relationships with my students and their families to ensure a personalized and effective learning experience.
