About Brian

I am a fun-loving father of elementary, middle school, and just graduated high school aged students. I enjoy teaching students at every skill level. I believe in teaching beyond the short cuts and introducing students to the satisfaction of finding solutions using problem-solving skills.

I teach basic through advanced mathematics and sciences. I am a research chemist by profession and hold a PhD in Physical Chemistry with a BS in both Mathematics and Chemistry. I was a teaching assistant in graduate school, teaching primarily Chemistry. I also taught at a private school (K-12), teaching upper-level mathematics (Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus) as well as Chemistry and Physics.

I am available evenings and occasional Saturdays.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Brian is a very helpful tutor. My daughter has learned a lot from him. — My daughter likes the way he explains math principles and he is very clear and flexible when it comes to scheduling. He does not waste any time and is a very nice person. I have other two daughters, I am hoping Brian will continue to teach. ...
