I've taught and tutored science courses for a total of twelve years, both in New York City during my appointment at the City University of New York (CUNY), and in Washington DC, while teaching at the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences (FAES) graduate school at NIH. Students that I've been tutoring are college-level, high school, and middle school students. In addition to my field of specialty of Chemistry and Biochemistry, I've been tutoring general science courses that include Physics, Biology, and Math. I've been also tutoring languages. My days and hours are flexible, my rates are reasonable, and my teaching has yielded positive results for all my students.

He explains the material in such a way as to ensure the student can understand the concepts being taught. He is very well prepared for the lessons and will adjust his plan to fit the student's abilities.
Fouad tutors my 15 year old son in Chemistry. He has been tutoring him for over two months now and we are extremely pleased with him. In addition to being proficient in Chemistry, he knows how to explain the basic principle behind each topic. This gave my son a solid foundation and helped him through his analysis process. He helped him develop positive attitude towards Chemistry. In addition to helping him with his school assignments and practice tests, he also gives him additional practice exercises to challenge him more.
Fouad is a very personable, respectful and flexible person. He communicates well and knows how to motivate and challenge teenage students. My son is extremely happy with him and we are grateful to have him.
Thank you Fouad!!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a professional Arabic language tutor and a native speaker. I am currently tutoring both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and several regional dialects. My lessons include basic programs for beginners and more advanced ones for intermediate and advanced level students. Each program contain, to varying degrees, Arabic conversation, reading, writing, and grammar.
In addition to my background in chemical sciences, I've developed a strong background in the biological sciences from working at the NIH. For eight years, I've been tutoring biology courses for both high school and college students. My tutoring sessions in biology include teaching the student on effective strategies on answering both multiple choice and open ended questions on their exams. Efficient studying strategies will also be provided to the student.
I've taught chemistry courses at the City University of New York for six years and I've been tutoring chemistry for both college and high school students for a total of twelve years. The areas of my teaching experience includes, among others, general, organic, inorganic, analytical, and physical chemistry, and biochemistry.
The studying strategies that I've been instructing students on were proven effective in improving their test scores and general academic performance.
During my TA years I've tutored organic chemistry I and II class and labs.
I've passed Praxis I Math 189, Reading 180 and writing 176. These are 90th scores and a prefect score in math. I've also passed Praxis II chemistry content sknowledge and currently preparing for several Praxis exams. I am very familiar with Praxis questions and would like to be certified for it.
