Hi, I'm Khadija, an undergraduate neuroscience student! My passion for learning and teaching drives everything I do as a tutor, grounding my methods in patience, structure, and in-depth explanation. My goal is to give students a supportive space to communicate, grow, and thrive academically. Having had many different kinds of teachers, I believe a great one can define a student's entire experience with a subject, and I strive to make this experience a great one.

I come into every session with prepared worksheets, lesson plans, and content tailored to each student. My in-depth approach involves breaking big concepts into smaller pieces, creating discourse with a student, leaving room for questions, and adjusting my methods to fit each student's learning style. After providing in-depth explanations of material and ensuring understanding, I give students guided practice time and create notes with them each session so they always have something to return to. My goal is for every student to leave feeling more confident than when they arrived.

I have 5 years of tutoring experience across volunteer, one-on-one, and classroom settings, working with students ages 5–18. I specialize in SAT prep, receiving a perfect score on the PSAT and a 1500 on the SAT. I teach students not just the content, but strategies needed to succeed, drawing on my own experience to make prep less overwhelming. I understand how stressful these exams and some subjects can sometimes feel, and I strive to help students feel prepared and confident.

I also tutor Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Trigonometry, English, and Spanish, and have experience in all these subjects. Additionally, I offer writing help, especially for college applications! While intimidating, writing can be made easy with the right guidance. I value open communication with both students and parents, welcome feedback, and am flexible and easy to reach.
