I am a graduate of Hampton University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on accounting. I also received my master's in business administration. I am a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). I have over 15 years of professional experience in external and internal auditing in the public accounting and the federal government. I scored high on the Audit CPA exam due to the book and real-world knowledge. Since I had to retake the Audit CPA exam many times due to score expiration, I understand the feelings associated with taking CPA exams.
Throughout college, I tutored students one-on-one from grades K-8 in the subjects of Reading and Math. I also tutored my colleagues in the subjects of Accounting, Finance, and Public Speaking. I helped friend's set-up practical study schedules and study strategies to pass their CPA exams. I enjoy tutoring in accounting because I believe accounting is a concept that each individual can use in their lifetime, whether it be on a personal or professional level. When I tutor, I am very attentive to my student by asking questions and being interactive. I use applicable examples related to the students as a way to further explain the concepts.
